• Jack Baker fired a 4-under-par 32 for the low gross round in the Montevideo Men’s Twilight League.

• Mickey Schall won the championship of the Montevideo ladies club tournament.  Runner-up was Leona Pederson. Other
flight winners were Kay Franta, Kathleen Mohagen, and Katherine Anderson.

• Gust Stamson, the last active golfer of the original 80 stockholders of the Montevideo Golf Club, still plays a great game
of golf at age 80, having shot a 38 this year.

• Tom Blank led a sweep of the top three places by Montevideo golfers at the Valley Golf Club shortstop tournament in
Willmar.  Blank shot 100 for 27 holes, Jim Hagen 103, and Scott Hagen 105.
