• Alan Henningsgard of Madison edged John Lundgren of Montevideo by one stroke to win the championship flight of the
Dawson shortstop tournament. The tournament drew 120 golfers.

• Farmer Maxine Mills and towner Karyn Maass teamed up to win the annual Aggie Open golf championship at the
Montevideo Country Club.

• Barb Huntley won her first Montevideo ladies golf championship, shooting an 87 to finish five shots ahead of four-time champion Carol Mulder.
